Siam Motors Group Launched “Rolling Hills” Golf course Opening in January 2020

Siam Motors Group launched its fourth golf course, “Rolling Hills”, under the concept of “Traditional Natural Design” to serve increasing demands of golf lovers worldwide with an investment of over 2,122 Million Baht. Meanwhile, the group is developing 600-rai plot of land to promote tourism and sports destinations of Pattaya city. Designed by Schmidt-Curley Design, lnc., the world’s famous design company, this new golf course, under the name of “Siam Country Club Pattaya Rolling Hills”, will certainly become one of Thailand’s best golf courses. The course will open in January 2020. A total of 4 courses with 81 holes are considered the largest golf courses in Thailand.   

Mr. Suksan Suwanpanich, General Manger, Golf Operation – Siam Country Club Group, revealed that “Since 1968, Dr. Thaworn   Phornprapha, Founder of Siam Motors Co., Ltd., had passionate and continuously placed great emphasis on golf. He had developed 6,000-rai plot of land in Pattaya in various forms for the well-being of local people so that they will have stable jobs and income.

As a result, our golf business has been successful and well-recognized globally. In addition, it has continuously provided opportunities for Thai and international golfers to show off their swings in absolute natural surroundings. Since its inception in 1971, under the name of “Siam Country Club” as Thailand’s first private golf course which has been selected to host several golf events such as Thailand Open and Asian Golf Circuits. Up to the present, the course has been selected as the venue to host Honda LPGA for 12 consecutive years, until it has been accepted by golf lovers worldwide as a WORLD CLASS golf course with true international standards. 

Siam Country Club has been under operation for more than 48 years and received attention from many world-renowned golfers, who came and created their history in various golf events, in addition, they all accepted the high standard of the golf course. In 2017, Siam Motors Group continued to create golf phenomenon and provide greater confidence to golfers by investing 2,122 Million Baht to develop the green space of 660-rai plot of land as a GOLF LANDMARK to increase the golf’s recreational value and to support Pattaya’s tourism and sports destinations in line with Thailand 4.0 scheme. 

The course is designed by Schmidt-Curley Design, lnc., the world-famous golf course design company, and constructed by GolfEast Co., Ltd. Its club house is designed by the Office of Bangkok Architects (OBA) and constructed by SMCC (Thailand) Co., Ltd. The group’s fourth golf course is under the name “Siam Country Club Pattaya Rolling Hills” is ready to be operated in January 2020.

Rolling Hills promotes the concept of Traditional Natural Design with 18 holes occupies an area of 7,259 yards and features 72 pars. Its traditional design fits perfectly well into natural landscape of each area consisting of up and down hills. The location of each hole is exciting and impressive, the highlight is at Holes 15, 16, and 17, especially in Hole 15 that will bring excitement to the golfers by a 6-meter tall greenside Bunker called “Wall of Death” and unique contour levels in fairway which provides great challenges and enjoyment to golfers. Moreover, the landscape design places great emphasis on a variety species of Pine trees with Botanical garden, consisting of the marsh and sand to the open vistas of the mountains. From the Tee-off to the last hole featuring a crescendo of challenging holes that climb to the highest point and back down to the clubhouse which is one of Siam Country Club’s uniqueness that creates a memorable match for golfers.

Target customers of Siam Country Club Pattaya Rolling Hills, the World-class golf course, are Asian golfers from Japan, Korea and groups of company in Thailand that organize golf activities to build the business relationship, as well as European and Australian golfers. The increasing numbers of golfers from 3 golf courses which are Old Course, Plantation and Waterside during 2014 – 2019 (5 years) are 850,000 persons. In 2019, the increasing rate is 29% and the expected numbers of golfers in 2020 are 200,000 persons/ year.
