The Siam Motors Foundation was founded on February 2, 1982 by the allotment of a share of profits from the operations of Siam Motors. Its purpose is to support education for children and youths, in the belief and hope that educated young people will grow up to become high-quality citizens and the mainstay of the nation. By awarding schlorships to enterprising students at every level of schooling, it is hoped that these young people will recognize the good will and concern that the older generation has for their self-development, knowledge, intelligence, and morals. Good education will have a good influence on these students' values, on their ability to thrive on their own, on their families, and on their communities and the nation as a whole.
The awarding of scholarships to Thai students takes place on September 4 each year, on the anniversary of founding of Siam Motors. Recipients include the children of Siam Motors employees, as well as students at various educational institutions and even media associations and clubs. The scholarships are apportioned among various levels of schooling, namely, primary schools, secondary schools, technical schools, vocational schools, colleges, universities, and Master's Degree studies.
